Through the Fog
6"x6" mixed media encaustic
Everyday I would pass this majestic oak tree on a local farm. One morning the fog had rolled in and the tree was obscured through a veil of mist. The whole landscape softened and took on an otherworldly quality with the tree continuing its silent witness, alone in the middle of the field.
This painting includes encaustic, oil paint, pastels, photo transfers, and gold leaf. It was created on a cradled wood panel with 1 5/8" deep sides that are stained antique gold. Comes wired and ready to hang.
